1. Install the genuine Rabby app
- Open rabby.io and follow its mobile download link to the App Store or Google Play.
- Install the app from that listing, then open it. Avoid download files or wallet links sent in private messages.
Already have Rabby? Update it through your app store. You do not need a second wallet just to read this guide.
2. Create or restore your wallet, then back it up
- For a new wallet, choose Create a new wallet. To restore one you control, use the existing-wallet option. Enter recovery details only inside the genuine wallet app.
- Set a strong, unique password. This unlocks Rabby on your phone; it is different from the seed phrase that controls your wallet.
- Choose Back up now. For a manual backup, write down the seed words in order and store them somewhere private and secure. Complete any check Rabby asks you to make.
If you choose Rabby’s built-in iCloud or Google Drive backup, keep the password used to encrypt it. An ordinary screenshot or text file uploaded to the cloud is not that encrypted backup.
Never send your seed phrase or private key to Sargo, a merchant or support. Do not delete or reinstall a wallet to fix a connection problem unless you have verified that you can recover it.
For the current setup screens, see Rabby’s mobile setup guide.
3. Open Sargo inside Rabby
- On Rabby’s home screen, swipe up from the website exploration area at the bottom. Use its search/address field to open https://app.sargo.io/.
- Check the address before continuing. sargo.io is the information website; app.sargo.io is the application.
- If the app offers wallet connection, tap Connect Wallet and choose Rabby. Inside Rabby’s own browser, its official guidance also allows the MetaMask option when Rabby is not listed.
- Review the site and selected wallet address in Rabby, then approve only the connection you intended. Return to Sargo and check that the displayed address is yours.
A connection is not a payment and does not activate the paused service. If the app does not offer access, stop there. Never enter your seed phrase into the Sargo website.
Using a computer instead? If Sargo offers WalletConnect, display its connection QR code on your computer, then use Settings → WalletConnect in Rabby Mobile to scan it. Use only a code displayed by the Sargo page you opened yourself.
See Rabby’s connection instructions if your screen differs.
4. Check the token, network and request
When orders become available, select the network your starting tokens are on and check that Sargo supports that token and route. Do not move assets to another chain just to finish setting up the wallet.
If conversion is needed, review its cost and the resulting amount. Only USDT or USDC enters the order’s escrow on Celo or Base; your starting token and chain can be different.
- Connection: shares your selected public wallet address with the site.
- Token approval: permits a contract to use a token amount. Check the amount and recipient contract.
- Transaction: can move assets. Read the destination, network fee and expected result before signing.
Rabby’s warnings and transaction preview help you check a request; they are not a guarantee that it is safe. Stop if you cannot explain what the request will do. Read the checks before an order.
If something is not working
- No connection prompt: unlock Rabby, open Sargo inside its website browser and check the selected address. Refresh the page once if needed.
- Balance missing: check the wallet address and network. A displayed zero alone does not mean you need to send more funds.
- Not enough for the network fee: check which fee asset the wallet requests. A stablecoin balance may not cover that fee.
- A request is pending: check the wallet’s activity before trying again. A slow connection is not proof that a transaction failed.
- Security warning or unexpected request: stop and check through Rabby’s official help centre. For Sargo access or an existing order, use support@sargo.io.
